Why or how did you get into lifting?

I work with the legend that is Brenda O’Neil and seeing her amazing progress sparked an interest. She encouraged me to give it a go and recommended the introduction classes with AJ Cronin in Carrick and I fell in love!

What music do you listen to while you train?     

Whatever is playing in the gym, I’m not a headphone person! You’ll see me two stepping between sets no matter what’s playing!

Where do you currently train?  

Xtreme Waterford and some group classes here and there in Strength and Fitness Carrick on Suir.

Who do you currently train with/coached by?  

Jamie Flynn , Xtreme Waterford

What is your favourite pre or post training/recovery tip?            

Food, food and more food

What is your favourite lift and why?      

Deadlift because it’s my strongest currently although squats are bringing out the quads and I love it

What is your favourite memory from a competition?     

I’m a newbie so my favourite memory is my first competition in April. The atmosphere, adrenaline and support from everyone was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hitting PB’s was brilliant!!

What other sports or interests are you involved in? What are you doing when you’re not lifting?

I was never a sporty person so I don’t do anything else….I only began powerlifting in October 23 and I absolutely love it! My life consists of work, gym and spending time with the love of my life…..my dogs
