We’re wrapping up the year with one massive, unmissable meet at the brilliant AJ Cronin’s Strength and Fitness, Carrick-on-Suir — and we want YOU on the platform. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or lacing up for your very first meet, this is where the GPC Ireland family comes together to lift, cheer, and set some records before the year is out.

This is it — our final competition of the year, open to lifters of all ages and all ability levels. No matter if you’re chasing a personal best, a national record, or just want to experience the thrill of a live meet, your spot is waiting.
Event Details at a Glance
- 📅 Lifting Day: Saturday, December 5th — starts 11:00am
- ⚖️ Weigh-In: 24-hour weigh-in (day before, locations announced on powerliftingnews.ie + Facebook)
- 📍 Venue: AJ Cronin’s Strength and Fitness, Carrick-on-Suir
- 📝 Entry Deadline: Monday, November 30th — don’t miss it!

- Single lift: €50
- Push/Pull: €75
- Full Power (Squat + Bench + Deadlift): €100
- Annual Membership: €30 (new members get full 2027 membership included!)

If that wasn’t enough — we’re breaking brand new ground! Immediately after deadlifts wrap up on December 5th, we’re hosting Ireland’s first-ever GPC Strict Bicep Curl Championship.
This is your chance to be a trailblazer — the first names ever on the GPC Ireland Strict Curl record books!

- 📅 When: Saturday, December 5th — afternoon, immediately following Winter Open deadlifts (begins straight after Deadlifts are finished.)
- 📍 Where: Same venue — AJ Cronin’s Strength and Fitness, Carrick-on-Suir

Both entry forms close Monday, November 30th. We need time to finalise flights, schedule sessions, and make sure everything runs smoothly on the day — so please don’t wait until the last minute!
A quick reminder for all lifters:
- You must be a current GPC Ireland member to compete — annual membership is €30 and can be paid at weigh-in or in advance
- All lifters will sign a safety waiver/agreement at weigh-in
- New members signing up now get membership valid through all of 2027 — so you’re covered for every event next year too!
