Why or how did you get into lifting?

Mid-life crisis so it was running or lifting. I decided to lift and take up the beginners Powerlifting class in city gym limerick.

Where do you currently train?  

Training in Southside barbell Limerick

What music do you listen to while you train?     

Industrial techno

Who do you currently train with/coached by?   

Training out of Southside Barbell with coach Shane Brodie

What is your favourite pre or post training/recovery tip?            

Favourite recovery tip, eat protein stay hydrated after training. Then rest and sleep is key to recovery.

What is your favourite lift and why?       

Deadlift The king of lifts. Real test of strength.

What is your favourite memory from a competition?     

Portugal with the Aipo Irish team. Fight comp away. Great buzz from team, comp, venue in Maia. I pulled 280kgs in the deadlift very emotional after getting the 3 white lights.

What other sports or interests are you involved in? What are you doing when you’re not lifting?

Powerlifting is the only interest even when I’m not lifting.
