Why or how did you get into lifting?
I joined a gym and got a program to incorporate weights and enjoyed the strength aspect. I wanted to learn more and Siobhan gave me a program over 10 years ago as a beginner powerlifter. A year later I competed for the crack in an IPF meet and won. I found something I was good at and kept going.
What music do you listen to while you train?
Random 80s tunes to heavy metal and dance.

What is your favourite pre or post training/recovery tip?
Sleep sleep sleep. Pre and post comp.
Drink plenty of water. Eat the same food you normally eat but the day before carb up for energy the day of comp. Bring food with you to a comp be prepared. Oats at my go to for carbohydrates.
What is your favourite lift and why?
Deadlift. It’s a full body movement. Very empowering lift standing up tall grinding though the lock out getting the 3 white lights!
What is your favourite memory from a competition?
Irish Pro 2022 pulling 200kg deadlift for the first time.
What other sports or interests are you involved in? What are you doing when you’re not lifting?
Coaching others in classes. Walking swimming, cutting lawns, minding the pets.
